Authentication Setup (Microsoft) Menu Home FAQs Terms of Use Scroll down to content Aerospace B2B Account Setup and Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) To enable secure access to hosted applications and SharePoint sites, The Aerospace Corporation permits B2B relationships with Microsoft 365 users. These trusted connections allow partner organizations and individuals to use their existing Microsoft accounts and multifactor authentication (MFA) methods, such as Common Access Cards (CAC), hardware tokens, or authenticator apps when signing in. The process described below outlines the expected redemption and authentication workflow for B2B collaborators; however, screenshots may vary to reflect each organization’s branding. If your authentication process does not align with these steps, or you were issued an External Partner account that doesn’t utilize Microsoft B2B, please reference the following link for alternative logon instructions: External Partner (EP) Accounts Microsoft B2B Instructions: 1. After completing The Aerospace Corporation’s external partner invitation and profile creation process, users will receive an email titled “Aerospace B2B Collaboration Account Created for…” NOTE: This email will include links necessary to redeem the invitation, activate the account and access Aerospace applications. Before accessing any Aerospace application for the first time, users must click the Redemption Link included in the email. Clicking on the Redemption Link will redirect you to your Microsoft sign-in page for authorization. Enter your email address (Account Name) in the sign-in field and click Next. a. The Aerospace Corporation requires the use of multifactor authentication (MFA) which includes the use of Common Access Card (CAC), hardware tokens, phone or authenticator apps b. If your account does not already have an associated MFA method, Microsoft will prompt you to set one up. 2. To configure multifactor authentication, please follow the instructions below. If MFA is already set up, you may skip this step. a. By default, Microsoft prompts users to install the Microsoft Authenticator app by providing links to the mobile app stores. b. Selecting Next will generate a QR code that links the Authenticator App to your account. c. Once scanned, the application sends a test verification code to confirm the setup. d. If the setup is successful, you will receive a notification indicating that the Authenticator app has been added . e. Alternatively, you may select Set up a different way to sign in or a different authenticator app that follows a similar workflow and allows phone options, which may be necessary when working in a secured area. 3. After signing up, users must grant The Aerospace Corporation permission to access their profile information and activity logs by clicking Accept. 4. At that time, if you are not automatically redirected to Aerospace application or its designated landing page, open the Application Link provided in the “Aerospace B2B Collaboration Account Created for…” email. 5. For future access, users should use and bookmark the Application Link to ensure seamless sign-in.
