Setting up access and Multi Factor Authentication (MFA)
Before you can access Aerospace resources, you must set up your access through a B2B collaboration account. A B2B collaboration account allows you to access Aerospace resources using your existing MS365 account or establish a guest account if you do not already have a MS365 account.
The following instructions describe the process.
- Your Aerospace point of contact will initiate the process to provide you access to an Aerospace resource. The process will send you an email invitation advising you that a B2B collaboration account has been created and needs to be redeemed.
- Click on the redemption link in the email to begin the process.
- After clicking on the redemption link you will be asked to allow Aerospace to access your basic MS365 profile data and log your activity when accessing Aerospace resources. Click Accept to proceed to next step.
- If this is the first time you are accessing an Aerospace resource with your B2B collaboration account, you will be asked to setup a Multifactor Authentication (MFA) profile for Aerospace. Click on Next to proceed,
- Aerospace recommends the use of Microsoft Authenticator, but if you have a preferred authenticator application or want to use a different authentication method click on the “I want to use a different authenticator app” or “I want to set up a different method” and follow the steps provided. Otherwise, click on Next and follow the steps to guide you through the Microsoft Authenticator setup.
- Open Microsoft Authenticator and scan the QR code shown or click on “Can’t scan image” to get a setup key and then click on Next to proceed
- The process will test out the account by sending you notification through the authenticator app. Run through the authentication steps to complete the test.
- You will now be directed to the Aerospace resource.
